Job Purpose:

Bakery Supervisor will direct and coordinate activities involved with production, sales, marketing and distribution of bakery products. He / She will also determine variety and quantity of bakery products to be produced at a given time.

Duties and Responsibilities;

  • Handling all ordering of products for sale for Deli and Baker
  • Coordinating with Store Managers to ensure success of the store and to provide quality customer service.
  • Supervising and motivating bakery staff
  • Managing inventory of bakery merchandise.
  • Responsible for the recruitment of bakery staff and personnel.
  • Orienting, selecting and training employees; and developing personal growth opportunities in them
  • Ensuring optimum operation of equipment by evaluating new equipment and calling for repairs of old ones
  • Provide manufacturing information by sorting, initiating, compiling, and analyzing production performance data and records
  • Educate and direct employees on the use of bakery equipment
  • Overseeing packaging of bakery products
  • Managing relations with retailers /supermarkets
  • Monitoring of sanitization of bakery equipment on a regular basis according to company guidelines.
  • Ensuring that health and safety procedures/policies are followed at all time

Qualifications and Experience

  • Diploma in Production/ Technical or related field
  • 3+ years’ experience in a similar capacity
  • Must have experience in managing and leading people in a Bakery / Production environment
  • English Communications Skills
  • Computer literacy essential
  • A team player
