In orderto support our growth aspirations, we seek to recruit a qualified candidate who is self-motivated and results-oriented to fill the following position:

Reporting to: Chief Finance Officer

Location: Head Office – Lusaka

As a Grants Accountant your job will be to ensure professional and transparent financial management and accountability of all VisionFund Zambia Grants/ Donations and establishing good donor relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Grants Management

  • Grant Compliance to agreed Rules and Regulations in theAgreement.
  • Implementation in compliance with Local Government laws.

2. Grant Budgeting

  • Revise the Grant budget whenever there is an amendment to ensure that cash/activity
    forecast are approved by donor for implementation

3. Disbursement and Payment reviews

  • Review of payment request voucher to ensure sufficient and appropriate documentation, that it is properly coded and costs are according to cost principles (i.e. allowable, allocable and reasonableness)

4. Grant Financial Reporting

  • Ensuring correctness and availability of financial information for input into reporting system on a timely basis.
  • Extract, review and analyze SunSytems data to ensure correctness and completeness in readiness for report preparation

5. Funding

  • Facilitate and ensure all the projects are funded on a timely basis

6. Communication

  • Liaise with stakeholders on grant project related matters
  • Providing grant expenditures and other information needed for strategic management especially in relation to grants as a strategic source of fundingforVFZ

7. Branch Accountants support

  • Continuous grants management training provided to Branch Accountants working with

Minimum qualification requirements and competencies:

  1. Full ZICA/Full ACCA
  2. At least 3 years’ experience in Credit with a reputable financial institution
  3. Ready to comply and live up to and in accordance with the organization Ideals and CoreValues
