ROLE RESPONSIBILITY:
- Implementing G4S Zambia Health and Safety Management systems
- Ensuring compliance with National legal requirements, G4S Group requirements and best industry practice in regards to Health, Safety and Environment
- Guide G4S Zambia Safety Committees in line with Health and Safety Committee Rules
- Conduct workplace inspections and recommending sound corrective actions so as to ensure continual improvement.
- Spearhead incident investigations and establish root causes as well as ensure corrective measures are put in place to avoid recurrence
- Facilitate Environment, Health and Safety capacity building within the organization.
- Maintain Environment, Health and Safety database and communicate relevant EHS statistics
- Facilitate risk and COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) assessments
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
Must have:
- University Degree in Health & Safety related discipline
- Minimum Three years experience as a Health & Safety Officer
- Strong communication skills
- Knowledge of HR policy, procedures, systems and best practices
- Presentation skills
- Excel, Word and Power Point skills desirable
