Job Description

Coca-Cola Beverages Zambia represents the world’s most cherished trademark and invests in the most exciting events. Our Office currently requires the services of a Human Resources Manager who will be reporting into the Human Resources Director – Southern Africa Region. The incumbent will oversee all aspects of human resources practices and processes. He /she will be responsible for developing and implementing the Human Resources strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy. The incumbent will also be responsible for execution of talent management program, Learning & Development Strategy, Rewards & Benefits strategy, Headcount strategy and maintaining an optimum Organizational Design Model.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Drives effective sourcing and development of ‘functional’ leadership and ensures effective management of the ‘functional’ talent pipeline, to meet the short, medium and long term requirements
  • Develop/ update and maintain Human Resource policies, tools reflective of on-going HR best practices and country labour laws.
  • Execution of talent management program, Learning & Development Strategy,
  • Rewards & Benefits strategy, Headcount strategy and maintain an optimum Organizational Design model
  • Develop and monitor overall Human Resources strategies, systems, tactics and procedures across the organization
  • Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation and preservation of human capital
  • Analyse departmental- and total Labour cost expenses with clear understanding of cost drivers and implement actions to correct / reduce
  • Ensure compliance with the Zambian labour laws and nurture a positive / engaged working environment
  • Develop and implement Human Resources strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy
  • Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances or other issues
  • Report to management and provide decision support through Human Resources metrics
  • Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance.
  • Prepare human resource periodic reports, plans and budgets.
  • Manage the recruitment and selection process.

Skills, Experience & Education

  • Degree in Human resources management, Business Administration or any related field; Post graduate qualification / Master’s degree in HR Management/Business Management or equivalent will be an added advantage
  • Certification and membership of Zambia Institute of Human Resource Management (ZIHRM) is MUST
  • At least 5 years’ experience in human resources management; experience in the full range of HR – HR services, legal, employee relations, HR systems, staffing and talent management, including recruitment and succession planning, learning and development, compensation and benefits, and organizational design,
  • Written and oral proficiency in English (Proficiency in an indigenous language will be an added advantage)
  • Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company and create team-oriented environment.
  • People oriented and results driven with demonstrable experience with human resources metrics.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Zambian labour laws and HR best practices.
  • Excellent active listening, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Strong level of analytical skills and computer literacy.
  • Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills.
  • Knowledge of HR systems and databases.
  • Ability to interpret policies.
