Job Summary

Development Aid from People to People (DAPP), is a locally registered NGO engaged in development projects, in all the provinces of Zambia, in the fields of education, health, agriculture and other poverty alleviation programmes. DAPP seeks to employ a Monitoring & Evaluation Officer.

The position is tenable in Pemba.

Required qualifications

  • Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Demography, Public Health, Development studies , Education, Public Policy/Administration or related field;
  • At least 5 years professional experience in monitoring, evaluation and research with a preference for experience in HIV/AIDS or related field;
  • Clear experience in assessing and improving data quality
  • Familiarity with HIV/AIDS based information systems and electronic platforms for data capture and management, and the strengths and challenges of these
  • Demonstrated skills in capacity building through technical assistance and coaching both face-to-face and at a distance. This includes strong skills in public speaking, and delivering trainings and workshops;
  • Experience in assessing and strengthening data quality;
  • Experience in strengthening the demand for data and facilitating the use of information in the decision-making process;
  • Attention to detail and ability to effectively and efficiently perform multiple tasks and balance competing priorities often within a limited timeframe;
  • Familiar with reporting Systems such as DATIM, statistical software such as SPSS, STATA and experienced in USG funded projects including activities such as conducting SIMS will be an added advantage.
