One Acre Fund is currently hiring for the full-time position of Procurement Associate in Kabwe. This will be an office-based role and we are seeking an enthusiastic professional dedicated to providing outstanding customer service and cost control. The candidate must ensure that the organization has a constant supply of materials or equipment and a successful individual in this role must be energetic and willing to learn, have good judgment and the ability to interpret policies and procedures. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills along with careful attention to detail are critical and a focus on bottom-line results and contribution to procurement cost-reduction initiatives are a must.

Responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

  • Collecting and maintaining price information for goods purchased and to-be-purchased
  • Develop relationship with vendors and identify preferred vendors for bulk and high-value goods
  • Ensure goods purchased are to specification in terms of quality, quantity, and delivery and to advise on those suppliers who fail to meet specifications
  • Communicate potential delays proactively to requestors – Own mistakes and provide world-class customer service to clients
  • Manage the Store and the Stores Inventory
  • Help develop and execute systems and processes to manage Stores operations
  • Support the office manager with daily tasks
  • Other duties as requested


  • A Diploma or equivalent (preferably in Business or Supply Chain Management)
  • Knowledge of procurement processes, policies, and procedures
  • Registered member of the Zambia Institute of Purchasing and Supply
  • Computer literacy – good typing and good MS Excel and MS Word skills
  • Good spoken and written English
  • Good mathematical skills
  • Excels in multi-tasking and prioritizing work assignments
  • Independent and self-motivated worker
  • Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Positive attitude and a commitment to helping your community
  • Past experience in a procurement or office role is preferred

Compensation:  K 4,025 per month (including lunch, transport, airtime and housing allowance)
