ICAP seeks to recruit for the following short term positions (six months) in Zambia:

POSITION TITLE – PROJECT MANAGER

Resolve to Save Life (RTSL) (1)

Reports to: Country Director

Duty station: Lusaka

POSITION SUMMARY

Working under the guidance and direction of the Country Director for ICAP in Zambia, the Project Manager will oversee the implementation of project activities of the Resolve to Save Life (RTSL) project in in Eastern, Southern and Western provinces in Zambia.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Liaise with the Country Director to ensure effective implementation and coordination of the RTSL project activities and monitor progress toward the achievement of project goals and deliverables.
  • Assist the Country Director in oversight of all activities, outputs, and outcomes related to the RTSL project
  • Oversee capacity building activities to transfer skills, knowledge and technology to stakeholders at the different levels of the health care system.
  • Assist in preparation and presentation of progress reports, achievements, and lessons learned to the Project PI at HQ as well as to other stakeholders in country.
  • Perform other related duties as directed.

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant degree such as Medicine, Nursing, Social Sciences
  • Master’s Degree in Public health or related field

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & MINIMUM

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Demonstrated technical expertise in Project management and oversight
  • 5-10 years’ experience with HIV healthcare delivery or public health management in resource limited setting
  • Prior experience in training, mentoring, and supervision of multi-cultural clinical and program professionals.
  • Proven experience in establishing working relationships and collaborating with host-country governments and other stakeholders
  • Fluent English oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to oversee development of comprehensive program reports

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

Travel up to 12 weeks in Zambia as requested and up to two weeks internationally as requested.
