PURPOSE
This position exists to optimally manage a contract site by ensuring the safe installation, maintenance and repairs of all steel pipes, chutes, conveyors and other coal beneficiation plant equipment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Health and Safety
Ensure to wear correct PPE at all times
Attend pre-shift meetings
Report unsafe conditions and behavior
Adhere to FAMP and Client policies and Procedures
Always be safe
Maintenance and Fabrication
Implement maintenance schedules
Maintains/repairs all mechanical equipment
Identifies and prioritise equipment in need of maintenance/repairs
Plans down time for repairs/maintenance
Plans for material and men to assist
Conduct risk assessment/study procedures
Conduct repairs, maintenance
Fabricate general steelwork
QUALIFICATIONS
Grade Twelve(12) School Certificate
Craft Certificate in Boiler Making
EIZ Membership
EXPERIENCE
2 years experience in any of the following fields: Mining/construction/transport/plant hire or manufacturing.
