Pride Community Health Organization

Pride Community Health Organization is a nonprofit organization based in Kafue district whose common values and aims are to drive social change towards just, equitable and sustainable communities. The organization works with adolescents, young people, and marginalized women to address structural causes of social injustice, gender inequality and poverty. Therefore, the organization is seeking to recruit an experienced and suitably qualified individual to fill the position of RESOURCE MOBILIZATION AND PARTNERSHIPS COORDINATOR.

CONTRACT DURATION: 1 Year Fixed Term Renewable

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

The Resource Mobilization and Partnerships Coordinator will be responsible for fundraising activities of Pride Community Health Organization. He or she will lead the identification of existing and new funding opportunities and support the proposal development team in the fundraising process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Explores grant funding opportunities through the development of quality concept papers/grant proposals
    in line with the approved organizational Strategic Plan
  • Develop quality and attractive concept papers/grant proposals in line with the approved organizational
  • Strategy
  • Provides support in reviewing/developing the organizational resource mobilization strategy
  • Promotes the organization’s image in different grant related forums.
  • Managing relationships with existing and potential donors with the possibility of exploring new fundraising streams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, development studies, marketing or similar and relevant to the position
  • A minimum of 2 – 5 years’ experience in development work
  • Knowledge and proven track record in grant acquisition and donor relationship management (from study, training and practical experience)
  • Excellent networking and partnership building skills
  • Able to work in a team environment, pitch in attitude a must
  • Knowledge of child rights-based approach to programming

  • Excellent proven skills in developing, writing grant proposals and grant reporting
  • Effective working with and through partners
