1. Quality Control Engineer

Role: In charge of managing the sampling, testing, designing and reporting of all required material and construction quality tests for the Contractor. Also responsible for managing the Conformance Management Unit and the development/management of the Contractor’s Quality Control systems.

Qualification: B.Sc. in Civil Engineering, who is a “Registered Engineer” with the relevant authority.

Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in managing a materials laboratory, certifying materials testing and pavement construction materials, of which at least two years are on managing the implementation of Performance-based contracts. Also experience in developing and managing the required quality outcomes and Service Levels are achieved is essential.

2. Road Maintenance Engineer

Role: In charge of delivering the outcomes from Network Performance (Routine Maintenance) and Periodic maintenance Works

Qualification: Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, who is a “Registered Engineer” with the relevant authority.

Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience for B.Sc., in managing the on-site maintenance activities on road works. This experience must include the effective and efficient management of road maintenance works and also experience in developing and managing auditing processes to ensure the required quality outcomes and Service Levels are achieved is essential. This includes the integration of road sections post construction into the maintenance programme and the management/ coordination of Emergency Works and Incident Response.

3. Site Surveyor

He/ She shall be responsible for laying out alignment and providing /monitoring all levels and tolerance during the construction of the road works.

Minimum Qualification:

He/ She shall have a Bachelor’s Degree in Surveying/Civil Engineering with ten (10) years’ work experience including (10) ten years’ specific experience as surveyor on road projects; and
He/ She shall be a registered member of a recognized professional body and registered to practice by an appropriate body such as the Surveyors Institute of Zambia (SIZ).

4. Materials Technician

He/she shall assist the quality control Engineer and will be responsible for but not limited to the sampling, testing, designing and reporting of all required material and construction quality tests for the Contractor. Also responsible for managing the day to day activities in the laboratory.

Qualification: Dip. Civil Engineering or any related relevant qualification, must be Registered to practice with the relevant authority.

Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in g a materials laboratory, certifying materials testing and pavement construction materials. Past experience of working on Performance-based contracts will be an advantage.
