Our client Bilam Works Limited  is seeking an experienced individual to fill the Procurement officer role based in Kitwe.  The individual will be responsible for evaluating suppliers, products, and services, and ensuring that approved purchases are cost-efficient and of high quality. Equally to oversee purchasing activities and ensure that purchased items are both cost-efficient and of high quality according to required standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining and updating supplier information such as qualifications, delivery times, product ranges,
  • Researching and evaluating prospective suppliers.
  • Managing inventories and maintaining accurate purchase and pricing records.
  • Maintaining good supplier relations and negotiating contracts.
  • Ensuring the company’s procurement policies and procedures are followed.
  • Keep track records of warehouse stock, executed orders etc.
  • Maintaining good supplier relations.
  • Preparing budgets, cost analyses, and reports.


  • At least 1 to 2 years of proven work experience in admin or procurement.
  • Diploma/degree in purchasing and supply/business administration or any related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively.
  • Self-motivated and able to thrive in any environment.
  • Effective Time Management
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong decision-making skills.
