IT Service Support provide to large Mining corporation in Zambia
Are you a recent graduate (within 2 years) from University or have less than 2 years work experience and holds a bachelor degree in IT or computer science? Are you interested in having a career in mining technology and not objected to working in an Underground mining environment. Mine Sky Zambia is looking for a local talent, that is happy to be part of our Zambian branch at the Copperbelt, Mufulira. You needs to be hands-on, be able to work away from your desk and an adventures IT candidate to join the Mining focus team.
In this role:
- you will be stationed in the office, but may be required to work underground to support the system from time to time
- provide after hour support if required on systems support issues for the client
- hands-on problem solving skills as well as ability to organise and prioritise tasks on hand
Required Technical Experience or Knowledge Fields
- Linux administration and troubleshooting
- Windows server administration and troubleshooting
- Basic understanding of underground mining processes
- Understanding of enterprise scale networking with Ethernet and TCP/IP
- Exposure to process control concepts and best practices
- Service desk experience is ideal
- Supporting business critical applications in a medium-large enterprise

- Locate or willingness to relocate to Mufulira, Copperbelt
- Ability to work without supervision
