CALL FOR APPLICATIONS FOR THE 2018 ICT INNOVATION PROGRAMME
The Zambia Information and Communications Technology Authority (ZICTA) with support from Barclays Bank Zambia Plc hereby invites interested Zambian youths aged between 18 and 35 years to submit applications for enrollment into the 2018 ICT Innovation Programme. This opportunity is open to youths that have ICT-related innovations relating to any sector of the economy. The applications will be evaluated by an independent technical evaluation committee who will shortlist the best sixty (60) candidates or teams to participate in the innovation programme. Teams will be restricted to a maximum of two members. The innovation programme will be for a duration of up to four months running between August and November, 2018.
The enrolled candidates will receive support that will include but will not be limited to the following:
- Business development support services
- Technical development support
- Access to working space complimented with internet connectivity, computers, test devices and other office equipment
- Coaching opportunities with identified industry experts and entrepreneurs
- Business linkages with possible off-takers of the participants’ innovations
- Financing support of up to ZMW 100,000 to support the implementation of five (5) selected innovations
- Any other support that could assist with the development of the innovation into a viable business venture
