REQUEST FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST FOR A MARKET RESEARCH AND ANALYSIS
(CONSULTANCY SERVICES)
1. BACKGROUND
A diversified agricultural company whose mandate is to produce, market, and distribute improved seed varieties of cereal (maize, rice, and sorghum), legume (groundnut, soybean, cowpea, common beans, and pigeon pea), oil (sunflower), and forage crop seeds has partnered with the Netherlands Development Organization (SNV) through the Dutch Fund for Climate and Development (DFCD) to implement a business restructuring program to enable the company to adapt to the changing business environment and reposition it with existing and potential customers; domestic and regional markets. Therefore, there is a need to conduct comprehensive market research and analysis to inform the company’s new business plan and a five-year (05) growth strategy.
The company now invites eligible consultants to indicate their interest in providing the abovementioned services. Interested consultancy firms should provide information demonstrating they have the required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the assignment. The shortlisting criteria are:
1. KEY OBJECTIVE OF THE ASSIGNMENT
The overall objective of this assignment is to undertake comprehensive market research and analysis of the seed market.
2. DURATION OF THE ASSIGNMENT
The expected duration of the assignment will be six (06) weeks.
3. SELECTION CRITERIA
The consultant should submit the following information which will be the basis for selection;
- Company profile showing a minimum of 10 years experience of the firm/consultants in undertaking similar assignments
- Brief CVs of the key personnel of the firm/consultants for this assignment
- Proven experience and expertise in conducting market research and analysis for various industries.
- Experience in conducting market research and analysis for agricultural-based companies will be an added advantage
4. MODE OF APPLICATION
