Job Purpose : To drive growth of Funds under Management on the assigned portfolios through building and managing new and existing customer relationships. To work closely with the Senior Client Portfolio Manager to formulate and implement annual sales strategies.

Key Outputs & Responsibilities: –

1.    Financial Management

  • Grow total funds under management by on boarding new clients as well as increasing investment allocations from the existing clients.
  • Own agreed balance sheet growth targets on both balance sheet and revenue by managing the sales pipeline and conversion over the performance period.
  • Monitor progress of actual sales against budget.
  • Build and maintain trusted client relationships across portfolios though delivery of appropriate financial advice to clients.
  • Participate in the formulation of annual sales strategies.

2.   Marketing

  • Support Senior Client Portfolio Manager in managing sales, marketing, customer-service and client relationship management team.
  • Conducts webinars and presentations to raise the brand or product profile.

3.    Customer

  • Build superb and trusted relationships with investors, investment consultants and prospects.
  • Hold regular Webinar Conversations with existing and potential clients to run them through the current products and performance of the Funds.
  • Assist with development of marketing materials including product enhancements and quarterly mailers.

4.    Strategy

  • Ensure that a clearly outlined sales strategy document is in place and being tracked against key business milestones.
  • Translate the business strategic direction into operational plans that could be executed within the performance period.
  • Understand the markets and existing market products, strategies and designated client business and portfolio dynamics.

5.  Learning and growth

  • To contribute to team meetings, organizational priorities and be proactive in keeping up to date with developments affecting the role.
  • Plan and manage own workflow, anticipating obstacles, juggling priorities and following through on objectives within agreed time-frames and according to quality standards
  • Promote a co-operative climate in working with others to achieve collective goals.

5.    Qualifications & Technical Experience

  • Grade 12 School Certificate with 5 credits including English and Mathematics
  • Relevant business / Finance degree e.g Marketing, Business Administration/Business Management.
  • Highly Proficient in Excel, Power point Applications and presentation skills.
  • Resourceful with strong networking and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Knowledge of the capital market.
  • Minimum of 2 years working experience in a similar role e.g Fund Management, Pension Management/Administration, Banking
