Job Purpose   : Identifying and developing new business opportunities, building and maintaining relationships with customers and driving the overall business sales strategy.

1.    Financial Management

  • Setting and achieving of the commercial strategic objectives of ABC Asset Management.
  • Have overall responsibility of activities in relation to marketing, sales, product development and customer service to drive business growth and market share.
  • Follow up on the sales achievements of the business and regularly report to the Head of ABC Asset Management on the actual sales versus the budgeted sales and suggest corrective actions in case the sales are below budget.
  • Set and agree targets with Customer relations and sales team members, monitor performance and performance reviews for team members as stipulated in the sales strategy.

2.   Marketing

  • Serving as a liaison between Customer relations and sales department, and other departments within the organization to ensure the delivery of high-quality products and services
  • To be responsible for the approval of the short term and long-term marketing plans and ensure that these are implemented to achieve desired business growth and market share.
  • Lead sales, marketing, customer-service, and client relationship management team.
  • Conducts webinars and presentations to raise the brand or product profile.

3.    Customer

  • Building relationships with clients and other key stakeholders.
  • To be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities with customers and collaborating partners.

4.    Strategy

  • To participate in the formulation of annual sales strategic plans, targets and implementing and evaluating cross-functional decisions that will enable the business achieve its short-term and long-term goals.
  • Evaluates existing partnerships and sales efforts with the target of enhancing business growth.
  • Research, identify and implement new markets and products lines.

5.  Learning and growth

  • To contribute to team meetings, organizational priorities and be proactive in keeping up to date with developments affecting the role.
  • Plan and manage own workflow, anticipating obstacles, juggling priorities and following through on objectives within agreed time-frames and according to quality standards.
  • Promote a co-operative climate in working with others to achieve collective goals.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Grade 12 School Certificate with 5 credits including English and Mathematics
  • Relevant business / Finance degree e.g Marketing, Business Administration/Business Management.
  • Highly Proficient in Excel, Power point Applications and presentation skills.
  • Resourceful with strong networking and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Extensive experience with managing business unit
  • Knowledge of the capital market.
  • Minimum of 3 years working experience in a similar role e.g Fund Management, Pension Management/Administration, Banking
