ACCOUNTANT
A youthful but mature energetic individual is sought to join a small finance team reporting to the Finance Manager.
For this role we are looking for somebody with the following attributes and experience:
- Must have a degree or Diploma in Accounting with part ZICA;
- Have at least 3 years working experience in a similar role
- Must have honesty and integrity;
- Experience of working in a busy small company environment using accounting packages such as pastel or other ERP is a MUST;
- Strong communication skills;
- A resident of Lusaka
The role will entail the following duties and responsibilities:
- Oversee and confirm accuracy of all GL entries with particular responsibility for posting expenses;
- Preparing VAT and WHT or any related tax assigned
- Generating relevant reports for subsequent review and finalization by the Finance Manager including but not limited to Cashflow Statements, Balance Sheets, Income Statements, and other reports;
- Maintain records necessary for audit processes;
- Support financial integrity by following internal controls and recommending improvements as appropriate;
- Prepares payments by verifying documentation, and requesting disbursements.
Be a champion for performance in the Finance Team ensuring quality and timeline targets are met.
