Call for Expression of Interest to be a member of the project accountability team (PAT)

ActionAid Zambia is requesting for Expression of Interest from suitable individuals to serve as members of the Project Accountability Team for the SIDA supported Strengthening Civil Society Effectiveness in Promoting Good Governance and Increasing Citizen’s Awareness and Demand for Human Rights in Zambia Project.

The Project Accountability Team under ActionAid Zambia is an independent mechanism established to ensure that it has a transparent and accessible sub-granting mechanism for CSOs in Zambia.

The purpose of the Committee is to provide both strategic oversight in the grants management (Pre-Award) processes under the CSO support grant mechanism. The Committee will also be tasked with the responsibility of backstopping detailed desk and field assessment of CSOs applicants by considering the Technical Evaluation Committee (TEC) and other external evaluations reports carried out as part of the pre-award evaluation processes.

ActionAid Zambia is therefore looking for 7 specialists to constitute the  PAT with the following skills set;

  • Financial and budget management – 1
  • Grant management -1
  • Project management (M&E Skills is added advantage) -1
  • Thematic experts in Health and Accountability; Civic participation and State Accountability; and
  • Environment and Climate Justice – 3
  • Community representative (preferably a human rights defender). – 1

Note – Successful candidates shall not be remunerated for serving on the PAT as this is a voluntary structure. However, transport and other approved refunds directly associated with the meetings will be provided by ActionAid Zambia.
