The International School of Lusaka: founded in 1963, is one of the oldest international schools on the continent of Africa. ISL delivers an International curriculum, including the International Baccalaureate Primary Years and Diploma Programmes, the IGCSE and the IMYC, to more than 700 students from over 60 countries. The International School of Lusaka is looking for qualified and experienced teachers for the following vacant position starting in August, 2019:
ACTIVITIES/ATHLETICS DIRECTOR
Responsible For:
The role of the Athletics Director is:
- To develop end lead (manage) the PE Depenment of ISL to a high standard of Physical Education throughout the school (Nursery to IB2).
- To develop a variety of sports through the curriculum and extra curriculum activities.
- To enthuse students with confidence and the spirit of good sportsmanship and competition.
- To host and accompany teams for home and away matches and to represent ISL in a positive manner in all fixtures.
- To organise, monitor and eveluete school sporting events and to maintain good assessment records.
- To act as a liaison with ISAZ and other relevant organisatlons
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree in relevant subject from recognized institution
- Recognised teaching qualification (preferably degree or post-graduate)
- Two or more years teaching experience at an appropriate level
- Experience in an International School with the International Baccalaureate Programmes (IBPYP & IBDP) and/or IGCSE will be an added advantage.
