1.       FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATION MANAGER (01) Lusaka Office – Two Years Contract
We are looking to recruit a highly experienced and mature professional to take up the senior role of Finance & Administration Manager. The role involves providing leadership in implementation of financial policies, procedures and regulations in the organization ensuring that financial controls are complied with. He/She will provide leadership in development of annual budgets across projects and quarterly financial forecast.

The position will include tracking budget expenditure, ensuring there is no over or under expenditure across project budgets, controlling the accounting management, training and supervising finance teams, provide leadership in financial management of projects and accounts, preparing quarterly and annual financial reports, Tracking monthly salaries and employee benefits. The incumbent will head the financial functions of Afya Mzuri, and will be required to work in consultation with the Executive Director in his/her leadership and representation roles. He/She will be required to serve as part of the Senior Management Team.

Reports to Executive Director.

Qualifications, Minimum Skills and Experience required:

  • A successful candidate must possess a Bachelor’s degree in financial accounting, ACCA Level III, CIMA or accountancy related field from a reputable institution.
  •    He/she must have at least 5 years’ professional experience in finance, of which 3 years’ must be in a senior/supervisory position.
  •   He/She must have vast experience in annual budget development and tracking of expenditure.
  •  He/she should have immersed experience in preparation of monthly banking reconciliation reports.
  • He/She should have experience in preparations of statutory obligations to ensure high level of compliance.
  • He/she must also be able to multi-task, meet deadlines and work independently and as part of a team, even under stressful conditions.
  • He/she must have previous experience in a non-governmental organisation and working with USAID funding and other multiple donors.
  •   He/she must have skills in QuickBooks, Pastel, Dove payroll, leadership, managerial and good communication.
  • He/She must be a registered member of accounting body such as ZICA etc.
  • Must be trustworthy, works in a collaborative way, ability to work in multi-professional and multi-cultural environment and ability to coach and mentor staff.
  • High levels of computer literacy.

2.       HUMAN RESOURCE AND ADMINISTRATION OFFICER (01) Lusaka Office – Two Years Contract
We are looking to recruit a self -motivated Human Resource and Administration Officer to implement HR policies, staff development and create an enabling robust staff working environment. The main task is to manage and oversee HR functions across the board and support the update of current policies that ensure high productivity, fairness and equitable compensation. The HRO will be responsible for staff contract management, talent identification, and solving any staff grievances applying the human resource policy.

Reports to Executive Director.

Qualifications, Minimum Skills and Experience required:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Human Resource and Management or Public Administration or any related field.
  •  At least three years of experience in Human Resources or capacity building in the non-profit sector.
  •  Knowledge and understanding of Zambian labour laws.
  •  Additional training/certification in Payroll Management will be added advantage

3.       FINANCE OFFICER (01) Lusaka – 1 year 6 Months Contract

We are looking to recruit a professional Finance Officer to be in charge of keeping track of project’s finances. The Finance Officer will be required to enter data into financial database, prepare financial statements, process invoices, and support project staff members throughout any accounting processes. The other tasks to include keeping appropriate documentation on payroll, bank transfers, Insurance contributions and payments, statutory obligations and invoices.

Reports to Finance and Administration Manager.

  • Qualifications, Minimum Skills and Experience required:
    ·         Diploma in accountancy or related equivalent from a reputable institution.
  • ·         At least 1 – 2 years’ professional experience in finance.
  • ·         Excellent knowledge of MS Excel and accounting software – QuickBooks, Pastel, Dove payroll.
  • Strong knowledge of bookkeeping.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Good bank reconciliation skills.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Excellent time management skills.

4.       ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT (01) Lusaka – Two years Contract

We are looking to recruit a self-motivated administrator to provide leadership support and keep the office running smoothly and efficiently. The assistant will be required to oversee administrative and clerical activities such as taking calls, scheduling meetings and appointments, managing executive requests, filing documents, preparing logistics for meetings, and managing organisation meeting calendar.

5.      MONITORING AND EVALUATION ASSISTANT (2) Copperbelt and Northern – Two years Contract

We are looking to recruit energetic and innovative person to take up the role of Monitoring & Evaluation Assistant for Copperbelt and Southern Provinces. The M&E Assistant will work closely with all programme staff in the field to implement the USAID, funded Tuberculosis Local Organisation Network Project (TBLON). The M&E Assistant position provides Programme quality through enhanced data management systems and processes supporting Afya Mzuri under the SCOPE grant. The Assistant will support the M&E officer in managing day-to-day M&E tasks arising in the Field Office and providing technical support to field teams to ensure effective project implementation.

Reports to Monitoring and Evaluation Officer.

Qualifications, Minimum Skills and Experience required:

  • Diploma in Monitoring and Evaluation, Project Management, Statistics, Demography, or any other relevant field.
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of work experience and experience in M&E is preferred.
  •  Ability to manage, track and report on program data; proficiency with Excel in monitoring and analyzing data.
  • Strong writing and communication skills, including familiarity with writing funder reports, SOPs, and other program management documents.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and meet strict deadlines.
  • Excellent critical thinking skills; ability to multi-task.
  • Knowledge of Electronic Data collection tools.
  • Must have experience in the usage of DHS2 data software.
  • Should have vast experience in creation of data base.

6.       TB COMMUNITY MOBILIZATION OFFICERS (2) Copperbelt and Northern – Two years Contract.
The TB Community Mobilization officer is an integral part of the provincial TBLON project personnel comprising of staff from CIDRZ and Afya Mzuri in the respective designated provinces, whose overall role is to lead Afya Mzuri’s contribution towards the creation of an effective community response to TB demand creation, case finding, treatment support and prevention aspects on the USAID TBLON project being implemented in partnership with CIDRZ and CITAMPLUS. The officer will be responsible for providing day-to-day provincial community and district level specialized technical guidance on proven approaches for community engagement with the goal of increasing uptake and utilization of TB services.

Reporting to Project Manager/TB Technical Advisor.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide technical supervisory support to CBVs ensuring that data is captured correctly in various TB registers at the facility.
  •  Work with the community structures of local communities’ health workers’ teams or CBVs to take a lead in TB prevention, treatment, care and support service delivery, including documentation and reporting of community TB care activities;
  • Lead in the implementation and coordination of the TBLON demand-creation strategy, active case finding, prevention and treatment; including aspects of advocacy, community and social mobilization, to improve project outcomes.
  • Lead in the preparations of provincial workplans for all community mobilization activities but are not limited to capacity building of Community Based Volunteers and prioritizing high impact activities.
  • Coordinate the roll-out and effective use of project and NTLP-approved approaches, communication tools and materials in the Afya Mzuri designated province.
  • Establish networks and partnerships to enable sustainable implementation of community-led health promotion activities.
  • Provide current approved information and work with local community partners to ensure: increased understanding of TB, increased demand for services and increased participation in effective service delivery by relevant stakeholders.
  • Effectively and efficiently provide tactical guidance to community teams on the engagement of key community stakeholders such as chiefdoms, religious and other community leaders to increase demand and access to TB services.
  • Ensure standardized practices in making referrals and follow-ups including documentation on beneficiaries referred to further services are adhered across the facilities within the province and inter-provincial.
  • Ensure that M&E related data is captured and reported on time to the supervisor, including the documentation of success stories and best practices.
  • Implement and adhere to Afya Mzuri and TBLON project’s personnel, financial, operations and fraud management policies.

Qualifications, Minimum Skills and Experience required:

  • Diploma/Degree in Public Health, community development, social work or any related field.
  • H e/She must have 1 – 2 years of experience in community mobilization, prevention, treatment, care and support interventions, delivery of high impact TB services.
  • Experience working with Community Health Volunteers will be added advantage.
  •  He/She should be able to provide technical supervisory support to Community Based Volunteers and TB Facility Focal Point person, ensuring that data is accurately and correctly captured in appropriate TB registers.
  •  Must be able to represent TBLON project in provincial and district level TB meetings.
  •  Able to conduct data quality assurance on quarterly basis.

7.       DRIVER (01) Lusaka Office – Two Years Contract

We are looking to recruit a self – motivated professional Driver to be on the USAID TBLON Project, providing transport and logistics function. A driver plays a vital role on the project to ensure timely transportation of project staff and goods to project geographical areas.

Reports to Administrative Assistant.

Qualifications, Minimum Skills and Experience required:

  • Grade 12 full school certificate
  •  Certificate in Motor Mechanics added advantage.
  • A valid driver’s license and at least five years of driving experience.
  • Time management and organizational skills to keep track of the traveling schedule of project staff.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to interact with project staff and other passengers.
  • Maintain accurate and up to date records relating to individual vehicle use.
  • Ensure all aspects of vehicle policy are being followed and enforced during your assignments.
  • Drive project staff to and from destinations.
  • Arrive at destinations on schedule.
