The Procurement Officer will be responsible for evaluating suppliers,products and services, negotiating contracts and ensuring that approved purchases are cost-efficient and of high quality.

Responsibilities

1. Manage office supplies, stock and place orders in all AMZ branches
2. Organize a filing system for important and confidential company documents
3. Overseeing and supervise all activities of the purchasing department
4. Preparing plans for the purchase of equipment, services and supplies
5. Following and enforcing the company’s procurement policies and procedures
6. Reviewing, comparing, analyzing and approving products and services to be purchased
7. Managing inventories and maintaining accurate purchase and pricing records
8. Maintaining and updating supplier information such as qualifications, delivery times, product ranges
9. Maintaining good supplier relations and negotiating contracts
10. Researching and evaluating prospective suppliers
11. Preparing budgets, costs analyses and reports
12. Produce reports on fuel purchase and usage per branch on motorbikes,vehicles and gensets
13. Prepare and maintain records of motorbike and vehicle repairs in all AMZ branches
14. Ensure all AMZ branches have necessary tools and equipment requested

Requirements

1. Degree or Diploma in Purchasing and Supply or similar field
2. 2+ years of experience as a Procurement Officer or similar position
3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and purchasing software
4. Strong communication and negotiation skills
5. Good analytical and strategic thinking skills
