JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Credit Manager, the Credit Assistant – Credit Support, will be responsible for ensuring that all functions of the Credit Support Unit are executed in a timely manner.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
- The job holder will be responsible for the following:
- Authentication/Check of Bayport customers’ loan application documentation provided by Branch Front Office staff
- Download/provision of Credit Reference Bureau (CRB) reports and other relevant third-party reports/material to be used by the Credit Assessment Teams, in their assessment of loan applications received.
- Reporting of suspected frauds /actual frauds, in accordance with the Company’s Fraud Prevention Policy/Procedures
- Maintenance of the Company’s Customer Loan application documentation history databases/logs, as well as timely backup of the Company’s Customers’ loan application documentation/feedback on relevant Company platforms
- Ensure all Credit Support Unit operational reports are consolidated and circulated on time
- Timely Submission of New Loans, Performing and nonperforming loans to the central Credit Reference Bureau agency (TransUnion)
- Adherence to industry best practices in the issuance of credit
MINIMUM ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
- Diploma in Business or any related discipline, from a reputable University
- Sound knowledge of Finance, or Financial Services industry products and services
OTHER SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES
- Highly conversant with Microsoft Excel, analytical and good numerical skills
- Good communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
- Good attention to detail
- Self-driven
