Position Summary
The Child Education Specialist / Assistant to the Managing Director working directly with the managing directors at the company, will be required to perform the following duties among other

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with parents to develop and implement an educational plan that meets the children’s individual needs.
  • Tracking children’s progress and adjusting lesson plans as needed.
  • Setting up daily afterschool learning support activities and preparing materials for each day’s lesson plans.
  • Communicating with directors / parents to ensure that they are satisfied with their child’s progress and understanding of class content.
  • Support school children completing school assigned homework and providing instructions and guidance in subjects such the children are taking.
  • Supervising children who are not yet mature enough to handle independent study without guidance.
  • Ensure post-school lunch and nutritious snacks are prepared on time by canteen support staff.
  • Observing and guiding students to ensure that they are learning the material correctly.
  • Develop and teach age-appropriate lesson plans in all core academic subjects, including reading, math and writing.
  • Maintain records of child’s progress and submit required reports to the parents/guardians.
  • Select and administer appropriate assessments and diagnostic tools to measure student progress and identify areas of need.
  • Stay up to date on current educational trends, best practices, curriculums, and any other issues relating to students’ learning.
  • Attend workshops, conferences, meetings and other professional development opportunities that are in line with the scope of work needed.
  • When needed provide management and implementation of childcare services during company functions for directors, management and staff and participants in company activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, master’s degree preferred
  • A qualification in early childhood education or similar may be advantageous.
  • CPR and First Aid certifications are preferred.
  • Able to prepare simple meals for children.
  • Driver’s license is preferable, however open to sending team members to driving lessons.
  • Knowledge of psychological and emotional development in children.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work in fast-paced, unpredictable environments.
  • Superb multitasking abilities
  • Sound judgment skills
  • Experience in teaching or education support roles working with children 2-12 years old.
  • Valid Passport
