Job title:  Storekeeper x 1

Location:  Kitwe

Engagement type:  Full time

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Implementing goods receipt /issue procedures
  • Replenishing stock inventories following established company guidelines.
  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe working environment in accordance with company regulations.
  • Managing the store layout.
  • Maintaining a record of sales.
  • Receiving, loading, and shelving all goods.
  • Performing stock-related tasks such as returning, packaging, labelling, and pricing goods.
  • Inspecting deliveries for discrepancies or damage.
  • Generating a Material Received Report (MRR) in a timely manner.
  • Ensuring proper storage of goods following the First-In, First-Out (FIFO) method.
  • Reporting damaged inventories for record-keeping and reimbursement.
  • Rotating stock and disposing of surplus and expired quantities.
  • Ensuring organized allocation of inventory placed in the warehouse and store.
  • Cross-verifying the monthly report at the end of each month
  • Tracking inventory and managing all operations in the store.
  • To perform monthly physical stock take
  • Recording, entering data of tools and other fasteners both hard and soft copies.
  • Strictly complying with regulations on fire prevention.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Stores Supervisor

Preferred candidate qualifications & experience

  • Grade 12 school certificate/ GCE with at least five Credits that must include English Language and Mathematics
  • Certificate in Stores Management from a well-recognized institution.
  • Must have not less than 3 years’ work experience in engineering and manufacturing industry.

Skills and Personal Attributes

  • Prior experience in a similar role preferred
  • Inventory management and computer proficiency,
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of ERP and Tally software systems
  • Good at math with analytical abilities
  • Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy items
  • Knowledge of various hardware tools.

Job title:  Machinist x 1

Location:  Kitwe

Engagement type:  Full time

Key Duties and Responsibilities.

  • Samples, drawings or instructions to review understand specifications of output
  • Plan the sequence of necessary actions for the completion of a job
  • Take measurements and mark material for cutting or shaping
  • Select appropriate machines (e.g. lathes) and position or load material for a job
  • Determine and program size of batches, speed of machine etc. Monitor machine while working to adjust the feed, maintain temperature and identify issue
  • Check output to ensure consistency with specifications and discard defect
  • Keep records of approved and defective units or final products
  • Perform routine machine maintenance and repair minor damages
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Workshop Supervisor

Preferred candidate qualifications, membership & experience

  • Grade 12 school certificate/ GCE with at least five Credits that must include English Language and Mathematics
  • Craft certificate in Machining from a well-recognized institution.
  • Must have not less than 3 years’ work experience in engineering and manufacturing industry.
  • Must be a full paid Member of Engineering Institute of Zambia

Skills and Personal Attributes

  • Proven experience as machinist
  •  Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Experience in using and/or programming manual tools and machines (lathes, grinders etc.)
  • Ability to use precision tools (e.g. calipers,) to take accurate measurements
  • Knowledge of the properties of metal and other material
  • Good at math with analytical abilities
  • Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy items

Job title:  Warehouse Assistant x 1

Location:  Kitwe

Engagement type:  Full time

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for receiving incoming shipments of inventory ·
  • Organized inventory to fit into warehouse efficiently
  • Keeping a detailed inventory of all outgoing and incoming items
  • Identifying any missing or defective product
  • Inspecting inventory for damage and faults.
  • Maintain health, safety and Environment in the warehouse
  • Communicating errors to relevant parties.
  • Responsible for packing, marking and labeling stock corrects
  • Assist with the loading and unloading of trucks and containers.
  • Maintain physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts.
  • Update logs and documentation for inventory processing
  • Maintain good housekeeping in the warehouse
  • Handle and operate necessary tools and accessories in maintaining and managing a warehouse.
  • Sort, organize and store inventory in the proper location
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Warehouse Supervisor.

Preferred candidate qualifications & experience

  • Grade 12 school certificate/ GCE with at least five Credits that must include English Language and Mathematics
  • Certificate in Stores Management or any business related from a well-recognized institution.
  • Must have not less than 3 years’ work experience in engineering and manufacturing industry.

Job title:  Store-Runners x 2

Location:  Kitwe

Engagement type:  Full time

Key Duties and Responsibilities.

  • Keep the store fully stocked, labeled, and rotated.
  • Maintain a clean, dusty, and well-organized store.
  • Maintain health, safety and Environment in the warehouse
  • Deliver messages, documents, and packages to various locations within the organization.
  • Assist with running errands, such as picking up customer’s items from warehouse.
  • Take special orders and follow through to completion with the customer
  • Perform basic tasks, such as filing, photocopying, and scanning documents in the retail shop
  • Keep track of inventory and order office supplies as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Preferred candidate qualifications & experience

  • Grade 12 school certificate/ GCE with at least five Credits that must include English Language and Mathematics
  • Certificate in Stores Management or any business related from a well-recognized institution is an advantage.
  • Must have not less than 2 years’ work experience in engineering and manufacturing industry.

Skills and Personal Attributes

  • Prior experience in a similar role preferred
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Basic knowledge of tools handling and maintenance
