CAMCO GROUP which was established in 1998 and is headquartered in Shanghai, China is one of the largest suppliers of machinery in markets we operate in Africa which include Cameroon, Kenya, Malawi, Tanzania and Zambia these being; agricultural equipment, construction equipment, heavy duty equipment, power generation equipment, motor vehicles and more. Camco now seeks to appoint suitable candidate in the following position:-

1. POSITION: INVESTMENTS & PROJECTS OFFICER-AGRICULTURE (01)    

Job Purpose:  The ideal candidate will be responsible for scouting for potential agricultural projects and investments, ensuring their successful execution and alignment with organizational goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the identification, evaluation, and execution of agricultural investment opportunities, including but not limited to land acquisitions, farm expansions, technology adoption, and infrastructure development.
  • Conduct comprehensive feasibility studies and financial analysis for potential agricultural projects, assessing risks, returns, and strategic fit.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including farmers, suppliers, government agencies, financial institutions, and investors.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop project proposals, business plans, and investment memorandums.
  • Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources effectively to ensure successful implementation and delivery.
  • Identify and propose value chain ventures, joint ventures, acquisitions, buy outs and any other viable investment opportunities.
  • Monitor and evaluate project performance against established KPIs, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, market dynamics, and regulatory developments to inform investment decisions and strategic planning.
  • Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on project status, financial performance, and key milestones.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Proven experience in agricultural project management, investment analysis, and financial modeling.
  • Strong understanding of value chains and market dynamics.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

2. POSITION: INVESTMENTS AND PROJECTS OFFICER-GREEN ENERGY (01)   

Job Purpose:  The ideal candidate will be responsible for scouting for green energy projects and investments, ensuring their successful execution and alignment with organizational goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the identification, evaluation, and execution of green energy investment opportunities, including but not limited to solar, wind and hydro projects.
  • Conduct comprehensive feasibility studies for potential green energy projects, assessing risks, returns, and strategic fit.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, utilities, technology providers, and investors.
  • Identify and propose joint ventures, acquisitions, buy outs and any other viable investment opportunities.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, timelines, and resources effectively to ensure successful implementation and delivery.
  • Monitor and evaluate project performance against established KPIs, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, market dynamics, and regulatory developments to inform investment decisions and strategic planning.
  • Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on project status, financial performance, and key milestones.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Renewable Energy, Engineering or related field.
  • Proven experience in renewable energy project development and investment analysis.
  • Understanding of green energy technologies, market trends, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication and ability to maintain progressive relations both internally and externally.
  • Highly organized with excellent project management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
