DISTRICT COORDINATOR-MPULUNGU

The Catholic Medical Mission Board Zambia (CMMB-Z) is a faith-based local organisation whose mission is to provide long-term, co-operative medical and development aid to communities affected by poverty and healthcare issues. CMMB is inviting applications from suitably qualified individuals with relevant experience for the following position aimed at contributing to CMMB-Z’s strategic vision .

Job Title: District Coordinator

Location: Kasama Mpulungu

Reporting to: Project Manager

Position Summary: The District Coordinator (DC) will lead the planning and implementation of all prevent! Sexual gender based-violence project interventions at district level. S/He will lead the implementation of project approved strategies, models, and approaches like SASA! Methodology, Communication for Development (C4D) Young Men as Equal Partners (YMEP) at district and community level.

Key roles and responsibilities

Planning, implementation, and Reporting

Conduct SASA! and YMEP training, mentorship and supportive supervision of action plans done by all trained SASA! dialogues facilitators, In & Out of school facilitators CSE Champion of Change and HIV Prevention Champions addressing P! S&GBV, Social and cultural norms, gender equity
Work in partnership with the Ministry of Education and other partners especially those funded by EU and other NGOs to facilitate with the Comprehensive Sexuality Education for both In and Out school
Support the planning and implementation of Prevent SGBV project strategies, approaches and models Support all district level project coordination mechanisms and meeting Consolidate and submit monthly, quarterly and annual district reports including success stories, lessons learnt and best practices
Collaborate with stakeholders in implementing district level trainings Support the implementation of Preventing and Ending Child Marriage (ECM) campaigns at district level through radio and other platforms
Develop annual, quarterly and monthly implementation plans and budgets with key stakeholders such as MoE, Ministry of Health, MCDMCH, MoCTA, MGCD and other district stakeholders. The plans should be shared with all partners.

Coordination and supervision/Monitoring

Conduct monitoring and supervisory visits for project district level interventions Participate in district and community level technical working group meetings as such Facilitate referrals for high impact services (for survive, and other One Stop Centre services) and ensure completed referrals of more than 90%
Submit consolidated monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual reports as shared in the Award Documents The reports should be accurate from the process that collects, reviews, capture and analyze district M&E data regularly and updated database and graphs printed quarterly
Participate in all important meetings at district levels like the DDCC, commemoration activities and standing in for the Prime WVZ and CMMB
In liaison with the M&E Manager conduct quarterly Data Quality Assurance (DQA) and capturing data at district levelTo implement and coordinate community activities in line with Annual Work Plan and Budget for P! SGBV.
Attend to any other assignments as delegated by your supervisor

Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor of Arts- Development Studies, Social Work, Public Health or in related field desired
Experience in NGO development programming and programme management
Good planning and organizational skills
Computer literacy and report writing skills
Excellent presentation and communication skills
Strong Monitoring and Evaluation background.
Valid motorbike licence
