Christian Blind Mission (CBM) invites applications from eligible suppliers for IT support services for the Country Office.
Core responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and provide technical support with guidance of CBM’s IT department.
- Register defects and failures within the IT system, analysis of problems, solving such problems and the respective documentation.
- Setup equipment for the office during onsite and offsite meetings/functions
- Configure certain hardware equipment such as printers with the guidance of CBM’s IT personnel.
- Asses and give recommendation for replacement of specific equipment.
Professional profile and requirements
- Practical knowledge on and troubleshooting of computer-related work including laptops, networks, printers, and common office applications
- Experience in handling IT and help-desk support.
- Trustworthy.
- Ability to work in an international team with clear communication structures.
- Understanding that CBM is an international organisation with a global IT strategy which provides the framework for the local IT.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Flexible, resourceful and active.
- Willingness to learn.
Some tasks include, but not limited to:
- Regular Tasks Personal Computer
- Check computer hardware and clean up (dust/dirt removal)
- Computer Software Clean up.
- Remove unwanted Software
- All other programs and tools only on business case after agreed with IT Department
- Check the presence and the actuality of an antivirus software/personal firewall.
- Check that the latest MS updates are applied.
- Update software (like Adobe Reader, Flash player, Java etc.).
- Each machine must be checked at least once every month. A documentation of each check must be prepared.
- Check computer hardware and clean up
- Recording of IT inventory in the office
Documents required:
- Business Profile including contact details, physical address
- Business registration/licence certificates
- Copy of suppliers valid Zambia Revenue Authority Tax Clearance, Value Added Tax (VAT) registration and With Holding Tax Exemption Certificates
- List of current customers and their contact details (references)
- Evidence of financial capacity (Proof of bank account, bank statements not later than three months and audited accounts)
- Proposal with clearly indicated payment terms
