Position Overview:
The Kitchen Steward plays a vital support role in maintaining the cleanliness, hygiene, and organization of the kitchen and its equipment at Ciela Resort & Spa. This position is ideal for someone who is hardworking, reliable, and committed to upholding high standards of cleanliness in a fast-paced culinary environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clean and sanitize all kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas according to hygiene standards
  • Ensure that all dishes, pots, and pans are washed, dried, and properly stored
  • Assist in the disposal of kitchen waste and recycling in a safe and hygienic manner
  • Support chefs and kitchen staff by maintaining cleanliness during service
  • Ensure dishwashing machines and sinks are clean and functioning properly
  • Report any maintenance or equipment issues to the supervisor promptly
  • Restock kitchen supplies such as detergents, towels, and cleaning materials
  • Comply with all health, safety, and sanitation policies and procedures
  • Assist with basic food prep or deliveries as needed

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a similar role is an advantage
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail
  • Ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen environment
  • Good physical stamina and ability to stand for long periods
  • Team player with a positive and respectful attitude
  • Flexible to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Basic knowledge of kitchen hygiene and safety practices
