We are seeking to employ an enthusiastic person between the age of 25 and 36 based in Nakonde or must be willing to relocate to Nakonde border. He or She will report directly to the business and operations manager.
Job Title: Operations Officer
Personnel Specification:
- Must have the ability to manage operations independently
- Must be familiar with most borders around Zambia
- Must be familiar with ZRA, ZDA, and ZABS regulations
- Must be familiar with Rebate and RIB
- Good communication skills
- Should be fluent in English and Swahili
- Should be between the age of 25 and 36
- Ability to solve clearance problems quickly with minimum supervision
- Should be legally able to work freely in Zambia and must have relevant documents to move and operate freely in Tanzania
Responsibilities
- Recording of every truck for imports and exports
- Work closely with agents to solve clearance issues quickly and report status to head office
- Monitor all exports and imports
- Prepare all import and export documents
- Produce daily reports for head office
- Consulting clients regarding insurance, duties and taxes
- Monitoring the consignments to ensure compliance of regulations
- Communicate regularly with the clearing officer for updates on the goods and vehicles in transit
Qualification Requirements
- Suitable candidates should possess the following:
- Grade 12 Certificate
- Diploma or degree in Clearing and Forwarding
- Experience in management is an added advantage
- Must have at least 3 years work experience in clearing and forwarding
