Job Overview:
ConnexAfrica Zambia Limited is seeking a Systems-Based Logistics Controller to manage and optimize our internal logistics software. This role requires a skilled individual with a background in logistics systems who will act as a super user of our software, ensuring smooth operations, data integrity, and process efficiency. The successful candidate will receive training and support to enhance their expertise while assisting the logistics team by maintaining system accuracy, troubleshooting technical issues, and training users.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary super user for the company’s logistics software, ensuring full utilization and optimization of its functionalities.
  • Manage and oversee system-driven logistics operations, including tracking, reporting, and data accuracy.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshoot system-related issues for internal users.
  • Collaborate with IT and software vendors to implement updates, resolve system bugs, and improve system performance.
  • Train and support staff on system functionalities, best practices, and new features.
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for system usage and logistics workflows.
  • Monitor system-generated data and reports to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
  • Ensure system compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
  • Work closely with the operations, finance, and customer service teams to enhance logistics efficiency through system improvements.
  • Assist in reporting and analytics to provide insights into logistics performance and operational decision-making.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, IT, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Some experience in a logistics control or systems-based role, with willingness to undergo further training.
  • Basic knowledge of logistics software systems, ERP solutions, or transport management systems (TMS), with a willingness to learn.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and optimize logistics operations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other reporting tools.
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
    • Good communication and training skills to support system users.
  • Experience in the logistics, transportation, or supply chain industry is an advantage but not required.
