Conservation Lake Tanganyika is a non-profit Limited Guarantee Company in Zambia and is managed by a board of directors and governed by a Company constitution.

Conservation Lake Tanganyika (CLT) seeks to promote and preserve the biodiversity of Lake Tanganyika for the sustainable benefit for all it’s inhabitants through a partnership with the Community and GRZ. Nsumbu national park and the immediate surrounds are identified as an area highly representative for the wider issues facing Lake Tanganyika as well as having the benefit of an established protected area and is the target area for CLT’s efforts.There is a high diversity of a natural habitat including some 80km of the lake shoreline and a highly productive aquatic zone for fisheries. Also within the area are several endangered ecotypes of vegetation,large mammals and a GMA.

Conservation Lake Tanganyika was created by concerned stakeholders who recognised the risk of over-explotation of the natural resource of Lake Tanganyika and the consequence this presents the health of the system and the future of the locals who depend so much on the lake for their livelihood.
CLT realises the need to empower local communities with basic needs such as safe water,education etc as part of its conservation efforts.

1. CLT with funding from an international organisation-Elephant Charge intends to provide clean and safe water for the communities around it’s operation area by Drilling and sitting of 150 Boreholes and the installation of hand pumps.

2. CLT now invites suitable qualified bidders to undertake this project under contract for the period to be stated in the bidding documents.

3.Interested prospective bidders may obtain further information by emailing CLT on [email protected]

4.The bidding process, adjudication of the tender, preparation of contract documents and evaluation and subsquent supervision will be done by an adjudicator appointed by Conservation Lake Tanganyika.

5. The document in English can be purchased by Interested eligible Bidders upon request via email to [email protected] or through the appointed adjudicator and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Zambia Kwacha Two thousand one hundred fifty (ZMK 2,150) through bank deposit.

6.All eligible Bidders must be duly registered companies to operate in Zambia and be registered with the National Council For Construction

7.Bids shall be deposited at the address to be specified by CLT in triplicate and no late or digital bids shall be accepted.

8. Bids must be accompanied by a Bid security of not less than 2% of the total sum
