Background: Conservation Lower Zambezi (CLZ) is a non-profit organisation committed to the protection of wildlife and the sustainable use of natural resources in the Lower Zambezi in Zambia. Established in 1994, CLZ is centred around three main pillars of support: Wildlife Protection, Environmental Education and Community Engagement. CLZ has been working in collaboration with The Department of National Parks and Wildlife (DNPW), the Local Communities and the District Education Board for over 25 years.

Key Roles: The CFAO will play a critical leadership role in driving CLZ’s administration excellence of donor funded projects to support the implementation of CLZ’s activities. This role will assist the development and implementation of grant management and financial systems aligned and in compliance with major international donors such as EU, USFWS, DEFRA, USAID, INL and IUCN to ensure compliance and best practices in all administrative and financial activities.

The CFAO is instrumental in improving organisational policies, procedures, and management systems, and ensuring compliance with CLZ’s organisational policies and procedures, globally accepted norms and best practices in NGO operations. The CFAO will guide prioritisation and drive the implementation of annually and quarterly targets, and track and support the organisation for strategic growth.
