Key Responsibility
- Must be able to make pastries( pies, samosa, shawarma) etc.
- Assist chef and other Kitchen staff in various food preparation tasks such as washing, peeling, chopping, cutting, marinating etc.
- Assist in preparation of basic dishes when required
- Help in packing and occasionally serve food.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen
- Maintain inventory of kitchen supplies and notify chef when items need restocking
- Follow health and safety guidelines in food handling and sanitation
Requirements
- Grade 12 certificate
- Certificate in food production or related field is an added advantage
- Knowledge of local Zambian foods
- Must be physically fit
- Willingness to learn and contribute as part of a team
- Ability to work in fast paced environment
