Our Client in the Automotive industry seeks to recruit a Chief Pilot/Operations Manager who will ensuring that all pilots adhere to ZCAA regulations, company policies, procedures and willing to take up other roles and responsibilities in the company.

REPORTING STRUCTURE

Reporting To: Director
Supervision Of: Junior staffs
Interacts With: Management, Clients

JOB DESCRIPTION

Conducting pre-flight checks of the aircraft before each flight and making sure that all safety equipment is functioning properly
Training new pilots on company policies and procedures
Conducting periodic inspections of aircraft to ensure that they are safe for flight
Planning routes for commercial flights based on fuel requirements and potential delays due to weather conditions or other factors
Scheduling crew members’ time off and ensuring that they are properly trained and qualified for their positions
Evaluating crew member performance and acting as a mentor to help them improve their skills
Overseeing all aspects of flight operations including hiring new employees, conducting training programs, and arranging for aircraft maintenance

CANDIDATE SPECIFICATION

Experience: 3 years plus
Education Level: Degree
Qualifications: Commercial Air Transport Operations
Software: MS Office
Equipment: Work related
Knowledge Of: 500hrs turbine
Skills To: Operate MCC or 100hrs Multi engine time
Ability To: Keep a record of all flight activity and maintenance schedules for each aircraft
Other Requirements: An ATP License and Holder of a valid Zambian License or validation
