Our client a dynamic and vibrant telecommunications company seeks to employ a talented and qualified Chief Technical Officer to provide strategic leadership for the technological evolution of the organization’s network system.

REPORTING STRUCTURE
Reporting To: Chief Executive Officer
Interacts With: Various Stakeholders

JOB DESCRIPTION
Develops the overall technology strategy in line with overall business strategy and monitors its implementation.
Develops the departmental budget against set objectives/policies and thereafter submit the budget for consolidation into the Company’s corporate budget.
Monitors the activities of the Department budget and takes corrective action as necessary.
Advises the business on strategic systems conversions and integrations in support of business goals and objectives.
Develops and establishes operating policies and approaches for the technical department.
Ensures the mobile network performance is maintained within the set acceptable levels.
Ensures that the fixed network faults are resolved within the set mean time To Repair.
Coordinates and gives guidance on the project planning and designing for the implementation of new software applications and systems.
Implements measures to ensure that the Network runs efficiently.
Oversees ongoing improvements and the feasibility of network and system enhancements.
Identifies opportunities to leverage technology, lower costs, optimize operations and drive efficiencies.
Conducts research to facilitate the design and development of contemporary technological solutions.
Defines technical requirements, evaluate solution alternatives, and develop end-to-end modern technological solutions and services including how to best implement them.
Facilitates meetings for reviewing technical architecture, decision making and problem solving.
Ensures all aspects of modern technological solution and services are captured, defined and communicated clearly in a timely manner.

CANDIDATE SPECIFICATION
Experience: 10 years plus
Education Level: Degree
Qualifications: Graduate Engineer (Computer Science/Telecommunications) from a reputable University,Post Graduate Degree (Master of Science in Telecommunication or related Field
Software: MS Office
Equipment: Job related
Knowledge Of: Telecommunications industry
Skills To: Entrepreneurial,change management,critical and innovative thinking,coaching and counseling.
Ability To: Drive and inspire technical teams
Other Requirements: Member of EIZ with a valid Practicing Certificate
