A Dental Practice in Lusaka seeks to recruit a Dental Assistant. In this role you will help with preparing patients for dental work, sterilizing instruments, setting up rooms, and other dental hygiene tasks while ensuring dental procedures go smoothly and patients are comfortable.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Preparing patients for dental work
Helping with infection control by sterilizing and disinfecting instruments, setting up instrument trays, preparing materials, and assisting with dental procedures
Assisting dentists in managing medical and dental emergencies when necessary
Recording treatment information in patient records
Giving patients information on dental hygiene, oral health care, and plaque control programs
Providing postoperative instructions as directed by the dentist
Collecting and recording medical and dental histories and patient vital signs
Caring for and maintaining dental equipment
CANDIDATE SPECIFICATION
Experience: 3 years
Education Level: Certificate Level
Qualifications: Dental or Health related qualification
Software: Microsoft Office
Equipment: Job related
Knowledge Of: Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
Skills To: Customer service and communication skills to ensure patients feel comfortable during appointments
Ability To: Prepare patients for dental procedures, sterilize instruments, set up dental rooms
