The purpose of this role will require safely transporting and delivering fuel to various locations, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.

Reporting To: Diesel Manager

Job Description
Transporting fuel to designated locations.
Ensuring safety protocols are strictly followed during transportation and refueling.
Maintaining the bowser vehicle and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations
Operate and maintain a fuel bowser in a safe and efficient manner
Deliver fuel to customer sites, ensuring accurate measurements and timely service.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance
Adhere to all relevant transportation regulations and company policies regarding fuel handling and delivery
Maintain accurate delivery records and complete necessary paperwork
Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues
Perform basic maintenance and cleaning of the fuel bowser as needed
Follow emergency procedures in case of spills or accidents
Perform Equipment Inspections using the provided Inspection Checklists. Liaise with Diesel Manager
Ensure ZERO injuries, ZERO spills, ZERO equipment damage
Report all incidents and near misses
Know the Emergency Response Plan and use as guided
Participate in all Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality (SHEQ) Meetings and Fire Drills
Ensure Oil Interceptor is clean and that returns are submitted to the laboratory quarterly
Enforce safety and adhere to the Truck Park, driving and company rules, both written and implied
Dispose of waste as hazardous and non-hazardous separately.
Any other related tasks ordinarily expected in an oil marketing company.
Perform basic maintenance and cleaning of the fuel bowser as needed
Offloading diesel

Candidate Specification
Experience: 2 years plus
Education Level: Certificate Level
Qualifications: Valid commercial driver’s license with appropriate endorsements
Software: MS Office
Equipment: Job related
Knowledge Of: Safety regulations and best practices for transporting hazardous materials. Proven experience driving fuel or tanker trucks preferred. Knowledge of health and safety standards
Skills To: Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent organisational skills
Ability To: Work independently and manage time effectively, complete tasks on time with minimal supervision
Other Requirements: Valid commercial driver’s license with appropriate endorsements
