Sr HR Advisor

The Scaling Up Nutrition Program is a cross-ministry and multi-donor program to reduce stunting in Zambia through implementation of the Government of the Republic of Zambia (GRZ) 1,000 Most Critical Days Program.   SUN TA provides support and direct technical assistance to sub-national local government departments in target districts to plan, implement, coordinate, and monitor integrated nutrition sensitive and nutrition-specific activities to reduce the rate of stunting among Zambian children under two and improve the nutritional status of pregnant and lactating mothers.

DAI was recently awarded a modification to its current contract by USAID to extend the project with an additional 18 months.  With this extension, there is need to retain a Senior HR Advisor who will assist with providing expert HR guidance during the transition from the current base years to the option years. Below are the tasks and responsibilities to be carried out by the Senior HR Advisor:

  • Participate in technical strategy meetings to understand technical direction
  • Review all current JDs and interact with hiring managers to align JD to the technical direction
  • Draft any required JD revisions to align with the technical direction of the option years
  • Oversee­­­ administration of end of employment agreements and issuance of new employment agreements.
  • Carry out any other transition HR assignments assigned by the COP

Requirements

  • 15 years senior level HR experience
  • MBA or relevant qualifications
  • HRIM Associate Membership or above
  • Effective time management and organizational skills, as well as demonstrated initiative
  • Excellent communication skills
