Provincial Health Office, Western Province in conjunction with U.S Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has been implementing programs to improve the management of TB, STIs and HIV/AIDS care services in the Province since 2006. To further strengthen the programs, WPHO is inviting applications from interested persons who meet the minimum requirements to fill the following vacant positions on one year contract basis subject to renewal:

JOB TITLE: Data Quality Management Information Systems (DQMIS) Officer

LOCATION: Provincial Health Office

JOB PURPOSE: To coordinate and support data quality standards implementation that will guide improved program implementation and delivery of quality health services across the continuum of HIV care

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITY (MAIN DUTIES)

  • Coordinates, collates and undertakes timely reporting using specified reports; Monthly DQMIS reporting and adhoc data requests
  • Participates in planning and budgeting for the HVSI program area
  • Conducts quarterly Data Quality technical support and program monitoring
  • Provides SOPs on new or revised indicators including on information systems (DA TIM, DHIS2, MER and SmartCare)
  • Coordinate, collate and undertake routine Data Quality Audits to supported H/Fs to ensure report accuracy and consistency using DQMIS

JOB SPECIFICATIONS/ REQUIREMENTS

  • Grade 12 certificate with at least five O- level credits;
  • Degree in Demography, Computer Science and Information Technology
  • At least Two (2) years relevant experience in HIV management
  • Experience in PEPFAR supported TB/HIV programs will be an added advantage
  • Trained in Project management will be an added advantage
  • Experience in DOM IS will be added advantage
  • Experience in statistical Management Systems will be added advantage
  • Ability to write technical papers and reports clearly in English
  • Ability to communicate fluently in English and local languages
  • Must be computer literate in Microsoft Office
  • Must between the Age of 21 years and 55years
