WORK HOURS: Full-Time, 40 Hours/Week

SALARY: A competitive package will be offered to successful candidates on annual contract basis.

The Eastern Provincial Health Office under the US President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) Project through a Cooperative Agreement (CoAg) with the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the positions listed to be employed on a one-year contract basis.

DETERMINED RESILIENT EMPOWERED AIDS FREE MENTORED AND SAFE (DREAMS) AMBASSADOR (2 Positions)

Location: Chipata District

The DREAMS Ambassador will play the role of advocacy, awareness and demand creation for DREAMS services in the participating district. This position is particularly reserved for young women between the age of 18 and 24 knowledgeable and have been beneficiaries of DREAMS services and with the ability to effectively articulate DREAMS services and command public following.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Provides advocacy, awareness, and demand creation activities to the target populations (Adolescent Girls and Young Women) on DREAMS using effective channels of communication.

Required, Qualification, Skills and Experience:

  • Grade 12 Certificate with at least five (5) credits or better.
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ work experience working in DREAMS and/or adolescent related programs.
  • Must be a young woman aged between 18 and 24.
  • Must have been a beneficiary of DREAMS programs.
  • Demonstrable ability to articulate DREAMS issues and attract public following.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Good report writing skills and understanding of the local languages.
  • Strong verbal and written English language skills.
  • Good computer skills in Word, Excel, Power Point.
