LEVEL : Senior Manager

LOCATION : Lusaka, HQ

JOB PURPOSE

Leading the provision of professional and consultative services to line management in the implementation of Airtel Zambia’s Human Resource Administration Solutions through Industrial relations, visa and travel management, office facility and management, employee wellbeing initiatives in order to ensure smooth operations of the office and improved quality of Human Resource service delivery required for staff to deliver on Organizational targets in line with business strategy

REPORTING TO THE HUMAN RESOURCE DIRECTOR, THE MAIN DUTIES ARE:

  • Transport Management and Availability
  • Management of physical Security
  • Guest, Visa and Travel Management
  • Facility Management support and availability of Employee Services
  • HR Business Partner to Assigned Departments
  • Management of Industrial Relations in line with statutory regulations
  • Drive Employee Engagement and Internal Communication Employee Forums
  • Effective management of Functional Performance and Improvement Plan

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & FUNCTIONAL/TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field required
  • A Human Resource Professional Qualification e.g. CIPD, SHRM, HRCI, etc. required
  • Contracting and negotiation skills at a senior level together with ability to influence
  • Strong Budget and Management skills including proven ability to Process/manage change
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity, tight timelines, multiple priorities, and demanding customers in a fast moving, constantly and changing environment
  • High degree of Professionalism, Maturity and Confidentiality

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE:

  • 5-8+ years of general HR experience, with at least 2 years’ experience in facilities management, 4 years in Industrial relations and employee support services
  • Relevant experience of leading and/or participation in cross functional teams
  • Industrial relations and Government stakeholder engagement
  • Change management

OTHER REQUIREMENTS (BEHAVIOURAL):

  • Ability to adapt in a rapidly changing business environment and excel in a collaborative team environment
  • Ability to plan and prioritize work schedule
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
