The Marketing Manager will be required to maintain and increase EFC Zambia’s business and brand positioning in the market through the development of marketing and communications strategies. The effective management of marketing components such as pricing, promotion, distribution and product/service offerings/features as well as the overall customer experience shall be strengthened to impact EFC Zambia’s performance.

Also, support in market research through analysis, interpretation and implementation of customer research into effective marketing strategies.


  1. Define the business plan and marketing plan for each product and service in portfolio.
  2. Define and support each product and service of the institution based on institution priority and develop appropriate marketing tactics to achieve strategic objectives.
  3. Create a strong, collaborative partnership with sales teams and other functions in branches and Head Office to deliver on their targets
  4. Monitor the performance of product/services and facilitate process for improvement, adaptation or change in order to meet strategic objectives and performance targets
  5. Monitor the achievement of the objectives defined in the marketing plan in both market share, margin, commercial positioning, customer satisfaction etc.
  6. Formulate, direct and coordinate marketing activities and policies to promote product/services branding
  7. Develop and strengthen a corporate image to meet the needs and objectives of EFC Zambia position
  8. Ensure the brand promise and attributes are communicated and exemplified through customer touch point and communication vehicles (website, printed materials, loan officer scripts, product features etc.)
  9. Lead internal brand engagement efforts for engaging the employees/staff on the EFC Zambia Brand
  10. Ensure compliance with EFC Zambia brand standards (visual identity and design)
  11. Conduct or oversee the implementation of qualitative and quantitative research methods to inform marketing strategy and operations in order to meet performance and strategic objectives
  12. Inform management of the research process, progress and implementation in order to gain resources and or priority as necessary
  13. Conduct or oversee standard research studies such as EFC Zambia Client Assessment Tool, and Enterprise Study as well as customer, market and operation focused research methodologies
  14. Identify customer touch points and assess opportunities to improve process/experience Marketing Communications and Promotions – Develop and monitor marketing campaigns (across all relevant media such as advertising, sales promotions etc.) and analyse their impact in coordination with operations
  15. Provide education/training on products and services as well as topics related to marketing in order to promote products/services to customers in a uniform and feature driven manner. Ensure brand consistency in the development of marketing communications and messaging Develop web and social media strategies for local communications as well as ensure compliance. Also, Responsible for the deployment and ongoing maintenance of the content of websites.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Business or Marketing-related field
  • Creative and artistic with technical marketing skills
  • Strategic thinker and influencer
  • Experienced in developing and managing marketing strategies
  • Experience in customer and market research
  • Excellent written (including copywriting) skills and verbal communications delivering a clear message with confidence
