Evelyn Hone College

Job Purpose
The Principal is responsible for strategic leadership, administrative and financial management of the Institution in attaining its role in the country’s economic, social and cultural growth and development through teaching, research, public service and innovation. The Principal shall lead the development of the College’s educational strategic goals, frameworks and policies.

Main Duties:

  1. Strategic Planning: Directs the development, implementation and review of the EHC’s Corporate Strategic Plan (CSP)
  2. Financial Resource Management: Coordinates the development of annual operating plans and budgets for Board’s approval and prudently manages the Institution’s resources.
  3. Academic Administration: Provides oversight in the planning and management of all academic administration
  4. Communications and Working Relationship: to ensure integrity of the academic records, and all forms of certification of academic achievement
  5. Resource Mobilization: Provide leadership in resource mobilization and
  6. Corporate Governance: Ensures observance of good corporate Governance
  7. Performance Management Systems: Oversees the development of individual work plans and implementation of APAS in order to monitor, evaluate and enhance performance.
  8. Student Welfare: Supervises timely the development of individual work plans and implementation of APAS in order to monitor, evaluate and enhance performance.
  9. Innovation and Research: Promotes and Coordinates research and innovation
    activities of the College.


  1. Minimum Vocational /Professional Qualifications:
    PhD or Masters in relevant technical field and/management
  2. Minimum Relevant Pre-Job Experience:
    8 Years at Senior Management level
  3. Must have relevant teaching experience of at least four (4) years, preferably in TEVET Sector.
  4. Must be a fully paid up member of any relevant professional body.
