EVEREST LOGISTICS limited a Lusaka based company dealing with agribusiness projects which is looking for candidates to fill in the positions of solar Electrical Engineer.

1.   Solar Project Engineers x 2

Basic Function

Perform site-specific suitable engineering analysis or evaluation of energy efficiency and solar projects involving residential, commercial, or industrial customers. Design solar domestic hot water and space heating systems for new and existing structures, applying knowledge of structural energy requirements, local climates, solar technology, and thermodynamics.

CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop design specifications and functional requirements for residential, commercial, or industrial solar energy systems or components.
  • Develop design specifications and functional requirements for residential, commercial, or industrial solar energy systems or components.
  • Test or evaluate photovoltaic (PV) cells or modules.
  • Review specifications and recommend engineering or manufacturing changes to achieve solar design objectives.
  • Develop standard operation procedures and quality or safety standards for solar installation work.
  • Provide technical direction or support to installation teams during installation, start-up, testing, system commissioning, or performance monitoring.
  • Perform computer simulation of solar photovoltaic (PV) generation system performance or energy production to optimize efficiency.
  • Experience in preparation of BOQ for Solar Project and Tenders will be an added advantage.
  • Collaborating with various teams to ensure seamless project execution
  • Contacting suppliers to build relationships and deliver technical solutions

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

1.   Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with post qualification experience in electric/solar energy installations with at least three (3) years experience. Must be registered with EIZ and should have a valid practicing licence.

2.   SECRETARY/RECEPTIONIST x2

BASIC FUNCTION

To perform a variety of basic secretarial duties, with a principal focus on key office reception functions, as well as basic and specialized office support tasks.

CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform key reception functions, answering phones and greeting visitors to the office: screen calls and visitors to determine nature of request or problem; refer to appropriate staff member; take messages; make appointments; take standard information for billing, administrative or other purposes; answer questions about company products and services, policies.
  • Place calls as requested.
  • Maintain various company records and files.
  • Process various incoming and outgoing documents.
  • Perform routine bookkeeping tasks.
  • Sort and distribute incoming mail. Prepare outgoing mail.
  • Regularly back-up and assist other staff members with various specialized Clerical tasks
  • Perform related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

1. Grade 12 with good written and spoken English communication skills.

Experience as a secretary/ receptionist is essential and a diploma or degree will be an added advantage.
