Excel Beyond Programs Manager
Job Summary
The Excel Beyond Program provides high school graduates with the opportunity to maximize their educational and career potential beyond high school. The Program Manager oversees all aspects of the Excel Beyond program to help launch well-equipped and Godly young adults into the workforce.
The Program Manager is responsible for overseeing the strategic direction, implementation, and operations of the Excel Beyond program. This role involves supervising program staff, managing relationships with strategic partners, overseeing the program’s budget, and ensuring the successful execution of program initiatives. Additionally, the role includes managing the tracking of student progress, program data, sponsor communications, and job placement outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Program Oversight
Cast vision for the overall program’s future and encourage improvements in line with the overall goals of FLMZ. Develop, monitor, and evaluate strategic goals and plans for the Excel Beyond Program and its parts.
2. Budget Management:
Oversee the management and tracking of the annual EB budget. Develop and monitor the Excel Beyond annual budget.
3. Strategic Partnerships
Seek out new strategic partnerships and maintain existing ones.
4. Student & Data Tracking
Develop and implement a robust student tracking system to monitor academic and career progress.
5. Sponsor Communication
Manage the communication of students’ progress, challenges, and achievements to sponsors through the Dallas Office.
6. Job Placement
Oversee job placement initiatives for program graduates, ensuring a successful transition into the workforce.
8. Risk Management & Reporting
Proactively identify and mitigate risks related to program implementation and sustainability.
9. Child Protection & Compliance
Ensure that the program operates in full compliance with Family Legacy’s Child Safeguarding Policy and other relevant guidelines.
Academic and Professional Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Development Studies or a related field.
- At least 8 years of relevant experience in program management, ideally within education, youth development, or similar fields.
- Proven leadership and staff management experience, with the ability to motivate and guide teams toward achieving program goals.
- Strong financial management and budgeting skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with fluency in English.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.).
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary, and cross-cultural environment.
- Valid Zambian driver’s license.
- Strong knowledge, experience, and ability in data management, including tracking student progress and analyzing program data for continuous improvement.
- Experience in sponsor communication, ensuring timely and clear updates for sponsors regarding student progress and program impact.
- Job placement experience, including developing relationships with employers and tracking graduate placement outcomes

A passion for children’s development and protection
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends, as needed for program activities
- Willingness to travel within Zambia for program monitoring and partnership development.
