EXTENSION OFFICER
LOCATION: KABWE
QUALIFICATIONS
The candidate should:
- Should have a full grade 12 certificate or equivalent
- Should have a DIPLOMA in General Agriculture
- Be aged between 20 and 35 years
- Be fluent in English and common language used in Kabwe
- Have a motor bike riders’ license
- Have a minimum of 1 year experience in a similar position

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
SPECIFIC DUTIES
- To help improve yields among the outgrower scheme members through provision of technical support before, during and after harvest of groundnuts seeds
- To deliver trainings to farmers under the outgrower scheme in production, post-harvest handling, etc that will help enhance groundnuts seeds production and productivity.
- To provide technical advice and support to outgrower scheme management on matters relating to the outgrower scheme operation
- To draft an annual extension services plan for implementation detailing programs to be executed on a quarterly basis and timelines.
- To be a resource person in effective seed aggregation and input distribution to farmers
- Provide monthly reports to the outgrower scheme management on extension service delivery that highlights the successes, challenges and recommendations.
- Maintain networks of collaboration with technical specialists to gather information and promote awareness of technical issues to improve extension systems and advisory services.
- Perform other related duties as required.
