Position: Workshop Foreman
Contract Type: Full Time, 1 year renewable
Location: North Luangwa National Park, Zambia
About the role

The Workshop Foreman role is based in Marula – North Luangwa National Park and will report to the Workshop Manager and will liaise and work closely with other Head of Departments. The Workshop Foreman will oversee daily workshop activities and manage inventories.

Your Tasks

  1. In charge of all activities in and around the workshop as discussed with the workshop manager.
  2. To organize daily job schedule and job allocations to stuff as discussed with the workshop manager.
  3. In charge of Marula-Puku workshop and Mano workshop in the absence of the workshop manager.
  4. Responsible for all workshop administration (job cards filled in correctly, vehicle booking, etc.)
  5. Work closely with the Stock controller to ensure the following:
  6. Work Register
  7. Inventory of all spares and tools
  8. Fuel responsibilities
  9. Vehicle Logbooks
  10. Responsible for all services on vehicles together with mechanics; this includes managing and following the in-house maintenance service schedule
  11. Responsible for ensuring good and accurate handover of all vehicles and their condition in the absence of the workshop manager
  12. Responsible for safety in work surroundings
  13. Promote togetherness in the team and hold weekly meetings in the absence of the workshop manager.
  14. Conduct annual SHE (Safety, Health and Environment) meetings in the absence of the workshop manager.

 

 

 

Your Profile

  • Advanced certificate in automotive technology or equivalent
  • Should have a background in heavy equipment repairing
  • Not less than 5 years of work experience in this field.
