The World-Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) is the world’s leading independent conservation organisation with a global network in over 100 countries. Our mission is to stop the degradation of the planet’s natural environment and to build a future in which people live in harmony with nature. We have been working in Zambia since 1962 organising our efforts across Freshwater, Wildlife, Forests and People.
In 2018, WWF will embark on a global free-flowing rivers (FFR) campaign aimed at profiling and seeking protection for the world’s wild and unaltered rivers. In Zambia, WWF is seeking to protect the Luangwa River – one of Zambia’s last FFRs. As part of a larger lobby and advocacy strategy, WWF Zambia will conduct a communications and awareness drive aimed at securing 100, 000 signatures from Zambians on a petition to the President of Zambia to have the Luangwa declared a Water Resource Protection Area under the Water Act of 2011. This will safeguard the Luangwa from external threats such as damming and unsustainable agriculture. For this drive to be widespread and effective, WWF Zambia seeks to engage the support of local Zambian influencers who will push the campaign, dubbed, “Keep the Luangwa Flowing”, online.
We are seeking a Graphics & Audio-Visual design agency to provide creative support to the office’s communications objectives with a particular focus on the ‘Keep the Luangwa Flowing’ campaign.
