The position shall report to the Manager, Project.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Full grade twelve (12) certificate; and
- College or University Diploma in mechanical engineering or related field or better from a recognised Institution
- Must be a member of Engineering Institute of Zambia
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum experience of 7 years as a supervisor and 3 years’ experience as a Maintenance Manager or equivalent;
- Must have proven working experience on Sino Trucks ;
- Must have proven working experience on graders, excavators, dozers, ADTs, etc.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee repairs for all the company fleet of tippers, ADTs, excavators, dozers, graders, compactors, light vehicles, etc;
- Design maintenance policies and procedures;
- Prepare workshop budgets and track the budgets and expenses;
- Oversee the inspections of equipment to find problems and make necessary repairs;
- Schedule maintenance tasks;
- Supervise maintenance employees;
- Oversee the response to maintenance emergencies;
- Monitor equipment reliability and effectiveness;
- Ensure that commonly used spare parts are available at all times ;
- Drafting and understanding blueprints and schematics; and
- Several other functions as advised by the supervisor.

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must have working knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems;
- Must have technical and non-technical skills;
- Must be able to cope with pressure;
- Must be ready to work out side working hours;
- Must be Computer Literate
- Holder of a clean and valid driver’s license.
