A bank is looking for a suitably qualified, vibrant and self-motivated individual to fill the position below:

Position Title: Head Corporate Communications

Department: Corporate Communication

Location: Head Office

Reporting to: Country Managing Director

Functions and Responsibilities

  • Develop clear communications strategies and programs supportive of overall visibility and perception aspirations of the business
  • Define and executive media strategy including media relations structures and initiatives
  • Determine appropriate media and channels for corporate communications
  • Negotiate favorable terms for Access Bank media mention and commercial arrangements
  • Articulate and implement clear public relations and publicity strategies and programs to reinforce the corporate image management
  • Define communication and response for crisis and issue management
  • Manage and account for publicity and public relations budget
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Head, Group Corporate Communication

Qualifications and Experience

  • A first degree in Social Sciences/Humanities or equivalent and membership of a recognized public relations institute
  • A higher degree will be an advantage.
  • Minimum of 6years cognate experience in banking, 3 years of which should be in a public relations functions
